Wednesday, APRIL 1, 2026: 10am-5pm: PYO Daffodils 2026, opening day!….Don’t forget to call the picking hotline before travel, 860-345-4609. Today is the start of our 6th season picking daffodils. Thank you for making this possible! All visitors who pick, or visit the greenhouses today, will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a farm gift certificate.
APRIL 3-5: Easter Weekend: The daffodil farm will be open for pick your own all weekend. (CALL THE PICKING HOT LINE: 860-345-4609.) Celebrate nature, you, your loved ones and the coming of spring the old fashioned way. Be outside in beautiful nature! Bring Your Own Picnic (we have tables), and take lots of photos, you’re celebrating! Our greenhouses will be open too. Why not stop in and check them out?
Saturday, APRIL 11: 10:00-1:00: Bunnies and Blooms: Hop into spring with us at Bunnies and Blooms! Spend the morning exploring daffodil fields, meeting adorable bunnies, and enjoying a relaxed, family friendly farm experience. This special collaboration between Halfinger and Merryweather Farms is a beautiful and easy way to celebrate springtime in Connecticut.
Saturday, APRIL 18: 11:00am-3:00pm: FARM OPEN HOUSE and LIVING HISTORY DAY: The perfect day to visit our farms! The greenhouses will be open for sales with all types of plants. We will be demonstrating our new Echo Hanging Basket production system. Come watch the system in action as it moves and waters a crop of hanging baskets! We’ll have complimentary ice coffee, a free seedling planting station, and a meet and greet featuring some of your local farmers. Come meet someone new and see something new! It’s Living History Day with The Dirty Blue Shirts and The Cromwell Historical Society at The Daffodil Farm TODAY TOO! Come witness LIVING history. Dressed in period clothing, these merry historians will celebrate The American Story by paying tribute to Connecticut life at the turn of the 18th century, and to Mr. Benanuel Bonfoey, who served two tours of duty in the American Revolution, and who, along with his brave and beautiful wife, Concurrence Smith, settled this farm. Come walk the farm that love and history built.
